What is B Corp™?
B Corp™ is an international certification awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It is issued by B Lab, an independent organization founded in 2006. The B Corp™ movement brings together companies that believe it is possible to reconcile economic performance with a positive impact on society.
What this means for Bloomup
Our governing bodies formally commit to integrating social and environmental impacts into their decisions regarding employees, suppliers, customers, communities, and the environment. This commitment is enshrined in our bylaws.
B Corp certification requires us to regularly and publicly re-evaluate our practices. This is a constraint we have chosen, because we believe that transparency is the only way to make honest progress.
CERTIFIED PME+
SINCE 2022
PME+, what is it?
PME+ is an ESG framework dedicated to French SMEs. It evaluates companies on 20 requirements covering governance, working conditions, environmental impact, supplier relations, and consumer transparency. The audit is conducted by accredited organizations.
What it means for Bloomup
Bloomup renewed its PME+ certification in April 2024. The audit notably recognized:
- Our transparency policy regarding ingredients and their naturalness.
- Our active communication on our CSR actions (packaging, anti-waste, social media).
- Our commitment to protecting consumer health (formulation charter, dermatological tests, transparency).
B Corp certification requires us to regularly and publicly re-evaluate our practices. This is a constraint we have chosen because we believe that transparency is the only way to progress honestly.
ECOCERT CERTIFIED PRODUCTS
ORGANIC CERTIFICATION
ECOCERT, what is it?
ECOCERT is an independent inspection and certification body specializing in organic farming and natural and organic products. Its cosmetic certification guarantees the natural and organic composition of formulas according to strict specifications.
What this means for Bloomup
20% of the products marketed by Bloomup are organic certified by ECOCERT:
- potted deo-creams
- bronzing tinted concentrates
- miracle balms & coconut balm
- body lotions
The other formulas, while not certified, nevertheless comply with our responsible formulation charter (minimum 95% naturally derived ingredients, own exclusion list).
